The Large Wagonette

The Bird-in-Hand Large Wagonette is wonderful for everyday use with pairs or four-in-hand. It is great to drive to the races, take on a hunt, or go on a pleasure drive.
Engineered to make tight turns when necessary, the Large Wagonette maneuvers well through forest trails. It can be designed with walk-through seating up front. You can climb on the back, walk between the seats, and step up to the front where the seat is divided. This carriage has a full fifth wheel with four elliptical springs that gives it stability.
A compartment can be added behind the seat and a cooler in the floor.

The perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon in the Wild West near Loveland, Colorado! Linda Wheeler-Holloway enjoys the outdoors with her Percheron Draft Horses driven to her Bird-in-Hand Large Wagonette. It is black with oak panels and has black vinyl seats, metal wheels and a walk-through front seat. Linda uses it for Draft Horse shows, carriage rides, parades and pleasure driving. She says, "It is a gorgeous, comfortable carriage that turns heads wherever we go."

On a chilly autumn day, Kris Penrod (Seaford, DE) passes a lovely landscape in her Bird-in-Hand Wagonette.
Twins Brono Sinclair and Bombay Sinclair are six-year-old Dutch Warmbloods that are 16.2 H, were bred by Dayna Gant, and trained by their owner Michael Keatley. They match well to the six-passenger Bird-in-Hand Wagonette. The large wagonette is used in parades and Moore County Driving Club Pleasure Drives as well recreational driving around Nubbin Ridge Farm in North Carolina with friends and family. Enjoying a drive through the fall countryside with a Bird-in-Hand Wagonette are Kris Penrod and Whip Bonnie Evans. Kris owns the wagonette while the horse, a Buckskin Morgan mare named Baby, belongs to Bonnie. This custombuilt wagonette was made to fit perfectly in the horse trailer and is still as beautiful as the day it was purchased. This drive was the first time Baby was hitched to a four-wheel carriage. Bonnie relates, "She could not have responded better. The solid construction, balance, and smooth ride of the Bird-in-Hand Wagonette helped guarantee a successful first drive!"
